Product Return Policy
Products are not eligible for a refund once opened but can be exchanged within 14 days as long as the bottle is 80% full. Due to the nature of products and expiration dates after opening we cannot resell or use opened products after this period.
Hair Extensions
At Hair Lab our staff is certified and branded with Hair Talk USA and Bello Haven Hair only. All new extension guests are required to receive a consultation prior to any hair services. No outside hair, attachments, or adhesives will be permitted or used at Hair Lab. If you have old hair from a previous stylist you would like us to use we require proof of professional purchase and a consultation as well, installation of old hair may still be denied at Hair Lab. This policy is in place to protect us and your hair. Any hair extension service that is styled, colored, or altered in any way by a salon or stylist that is not Hair Lab is not Hair Lab's responsibility or liability for the hairs health, longevity, damage, and may incur extra fees or denial of service depending on the severity and judgment of the stylist.

To order hair the guest must complete the in person consult and sign the forms to order. This does not lock you into purchasing hair, this only is to acknowledge the return polices of hair, price, timing, and shipping. You may order hair the same day or over the phone when you are ready; we cannot book the installation until the hair arrives since we cannot guarantee the delivery date. The hair extension companies we use do not allow for returns, so all hair purchases are final.

Hair taken same day, or off the hair wall stock still requires a non refundable deposit to book.

All hair extension services fall under our cancelation policy at 48 hours rather than 24 hours as our other services are under the 24 hour cancelation policy.
Children

Due to the relaxing nature of our salon, and for safety reasons, children are not permitted in the salon without an appointment. We are unable to serve children under 6 years old, and do not feel comfortable at this time providing chemical services on anyone at or under the age of 14.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian during the entire appointment unless otherwise discussed with management staff., A parent must be present to sign the client intake form if services are for child under 18 years. Parents receiving a service are not considered the active chaperone of children at this time and cannot bring a minor with them to their appointment, we are still not allowing extra people into the salon without an appointment.
CancelLation Policy
Please try to arrive for your scheduled appointment a few minutes early. We understand that sometimes things come up that are out of our control, but due to the high demand on our time, we have set some policies in place to ensure we can provide our clients with the best possible service.
A card will be required to be added to your client profile at the time of booking. This card will only be charged if necessary to fulfill our cancelation/no-show policies.
Any appointment canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the service total for their appointment. This fee will be charged to the card on file at the time of cancelation.
Any appointment that a client does not arrive for/same day cancellation, or arrives more than 15 minutes late for, will be considered a “no-show” and will incur a fee equal to 100% of the service total for their appointment. This fee will be charged to the card on file 15 minutes past their scheduled appointment time.

If you believe you may be sick or contagious on the day of your appointment, please call and inform Guest Services. Fees can be waived within reason.
All consultations are complimentary however, if canceled within 24 hours a deposit will be required to rebook a consult. The $25 will go toward the services booked after the consult. If the consult is canceled for a third time the $25 is forfeited.
RESCHEDULE POLICY
We understand that plans change, so you can reschedule your appointment up to two times in a 6 - 8 week period without penalty, if done at least 24 hours in advance. However, if you reschedule a third time in that period, a $50 fee will apply, payable at the time of rescheduling to confirm your new appointment. This fee is non-refundable and is not eligible for salon credit. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule, and note that no-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us serve all our clients efficiently. This policy is simply to streamline booking available slots in a timely manner for clients who will fill them, and cut down on last minute open slots our service providers then lose out on.
**If you cannot pre book your appointment that is totally ok, you can text us or book online, you can follow your stylist on instagram for their openings each week, and subscribe to our newsletter for weekly openings as well.
Service Guarantee Policy
Color and other chemical appointments are guaranteed only if the recommended at-home haircare is purchased directly from The Hair Lab. Due to the diversion of professional products, purchasing your haircare prescription outside of the salon will result in a forfeiture of any guarantee. Hair color and other chemical appointments cannot be guaranteed if professional products are not purchased directly from Hair Lab. In many industries including the beauty industry, there is diversion. Diversion occurs when a product is made counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise not real and illgeally sold in stores, pharmacies, and online. We urge you to Google "Beauty Diversion" to learn more. We also recomend watching "Rotten" on Netflix, there is an episode that goes over how counterfeit products are made and sold. Store products are not of the quality or calibrated to the same sciences as our professional color/chemicals and are not recommended for use.
Refund-Redo Policy
Due to the creative nature of our industry, we do not offer refunds on services. If you are unsatisfied with the results of your service(s) we will work with you, within reason, to make adjustments and/or corrections. A re-do appointment must be requested and booked within 7 days of the original appointment in order to qualify as a re-do. All consults are valid for 30 days only
Weather Policy
All appointments will be honored and cancellation fees apply unless there is a state of emergency resulting in town closure, bridge or highway closures, and/or mandatory evacuations.
As with the nature of Charleston weather we stay up to date with announcements and advisories directly in line with the Town of Mount Pleasant, SC.Â

If there is impending weather please move or cancel your appointment to your comfortability within the 24 hour window that may result in a cancelation fee.
